Robert Menendez, New Jersey Democrat, has introduced another bill, different from the bill that Barney Frank has introduced, in the U.S. Senate. This bill was created with the intention to legalize and regulate online poker, games of skill and give consumer protection. The bill Barney Frank currently has on the Senate floor is also meant to legalize and regulate internet poker, as well as it would overturn the UIGEA that was passed in 2006 which prohibited financial institutions from taking credit card payments, checks or electronic transfers for online gaming payments. Barney Frank has stated online gambling regulation is coming. Yeah for the online gamblers!
