Well, it seems Harrah's Entertainment is staying ahead of the ball for internet gambling. An agreement has been made between 888 Holdings and Harrah's that will bring Harrah's into the UK Online Gambling Market. Under the agreement, 888 Holdings will provide Harrah's with online poker and casino service which includes payment and customer services. Harrah's had announced in May that it had hired former online gaming executive Mitch Garber as chief executive officer of Harrah's Interactive Entertainment, a new subsidiary overseeing Harrah's efforts to expand its World Series of Poker brand online. As would be expected, Harrah's is also now backing legislation that would allow Americans to gamble online for real money.
One question: Where was Harrah's and the future corporations that will certainly look to gain in the internet gambling industry when the UIGEA was becoming law??
