iMEGA Challenged the UIGEA and Failed

A U.S. Appeals Court upheld the UIGEA (Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act)in a 3-0 decision against iMEGA (Interactive Media Entertainment and Gaming Association). iMEGA, which argued that the 2006 Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) is unconstitutionally vague and infringes on people's right to privacy, initially filed the case in July 2008.
The good news to some is that only six states currently make it a crime to place bets online which leaves forty-four states up in the air of vagueness.
